Welcome to ADA Compliance for the Instructional Web at AACC
What is ADA? Why ADA? Who is affected? How to comply? Resources and links

Hello and welcome to Anne Arundel Community College's site about accessibility and ADA. Throughout this page, we hope to explain the what, why, who and how of making instructional webs and online courses compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (or ADA).   This site is an attempt to give the user a general understanding of ADA and now they can go about making their instructional web page compliant.

Here in Distance Learning, we believe that making our web pages accessible goes hand-in-hand with the philosophy and mission of Anne Arundel Community College.  This website came about in response to instructors informing us that more information was needed in order to build and design their online courses. In an attempt to spread awareness, we also added an accessibility module to our training outline, as all online professors are required to participate in our Online Academy (OLA).

Do you still think that this site isn't for you?  That ADA doesn't affect you?  Well, before you read on, why not have a little fun and check your web savvy with this short quiz about accessibility.
